Celebrated on various sites of the internet, I had to try this place – and came to realise, they were all right!! Slim Jim’s Liquor Store is now one of my favourite places on Upper Street and certainly among the best Happy Hours in London. But read yourself what critics are saying:
“Head to […] Slim Jim’s Liquor Store in Angel, where you’ll find neon signs, a rock n’ roll jukebox and an incredible variety of liquors from the States. Here, happy hour runs from 5-8pm every day (except Saturdays) and involves two for one cocktails and £3 for simple beers.
One of the very best things about Slim Jim’s however, apart from the brilliant atmosphere, is that they don’t mind you stocking up on discounted drinks in the happy hour, then riding the storm until 2am from Sunday to Wednesday and until 3am for the rest of the week.”

Auf vielen Seiten im Internet gefeiert, musste ich mir doch mein eigenes Bild machen – und habe bald festgestellt, wie recht sie alle hatten! Slim Jim’s Liquor Store gehört heute zu meinen liebsten Bars in London, und die Happy Hour zählt mit Sicherheit zu den besten. Aber lest selbst, was die Kritiker sagen:
“Macht euch auf den Weg zu Slim Jim’s Liquor Store in Angel, wo alles vollgepackt ist mit Neon-Schildern, einer Rock’n’Roll-Jukebox und einer unglaublichen Anzahl an Likören aus den USA. Die Happy Hour läuft von 17-20 Uhr jeden Tag (außer samstags) und beinhaltet 2-for-1 Cocktails und £3 Biere.
Eines der besten Dinge an Slim Jim’s ist übrigens, neben der großartigen Atmosphäre natürlich, dass es euch hier niemand übelnimmt, euch während der Happy Hour mit billigen Drinks einzudecken und dann bis 2 Uhr (Sonntag bis Mittwoch) bzw. 3 Uhr morgens (Donnerstag bis Samstag) einen drauf zu machen.”
